What installing does
- Puts Mint Competitions on your home screen or app list. It opens in its own window, without the browser's address bar.
- Lets you see and enter app-only competitions, which can't be entered on the website.
- It's this website, not an app-store download: there's nothing extra to install, it updates itself, and you remove it like any other home-screen icon.
- Your account is the same one. On Android the app shares your browser's sign-in; on iPhone and iPad you sign in again inside the app.
- It needs a connection. Offline it shows a page saying so — it doesn't keep your account, your basket or old competition details on your device.
- It doesn't turn on notifications.
How to install
Your browser hasn't offered to install this site. In Chrome or Edge, look for “Install app” or “Add to Home screen” in the browser's menu. Some browsers, such as Firefox on a computer, can't install websites as apps at all.
You can keep using the site in your browser: everything except app-only competitions works the same.
